James joined Urban Green because of a desire to improve interior environments. With 7 years of outdoor landscaping experience, he is now bringing his knowledge and skills to interior spaces.

James is now the co-owner of Urban Green with the intent of maintaining the quality and workmanship that has been developed over 50 years and expand it into new areas such as living walls, presserved mosses and locations.

James looks forward to helping you create and maintain a healthy and beautiful interior environment!

Carwyn was born and raised in Wales before moving to Canada. Driven by his passion for plants and making a difference in the environments we all live and work in, he joined Urban Green as a partner in 2019. His design skills and eye for detail come from his previous career as a finish carpenter and cabinet maker. 

He has years of experience as a project and business manager for a custom home firm where he worked directly with designers and clients to help create their dream homes. With his background, Carwyn can help to design and create a finished, polished product for your living or workspace, whether that is a green wall, preserved moss project, or regular plant maintenance.

Outside of work, you will find him trying to keep up with his 3 kids, hiking, working on DIY projects or in the garden tending to his fruit trees, vegetable garden or berry patches.

Matt brings a wealth of experience in project management, construction, and plant care, overseeing both residential and commercial projects across the region. With a background in managing complex projects, Matt ensures the successful execution of plant care initiatives, delivering tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

Drawing from years of experience in the construction industry, Matt has developed a strong foundation in planning, and managing timelines to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. This expertise has proven invaluable in overseeing large-scale plant installations, where precision, attention to detail, and effective coordination are key to success.

In addition to managing existing client relationships, Matt works closely with new clients to develop and execute exciting, high-impact projects and is one of our lead installers for all new projects. This includes collaborating on custom designs, ensuring seamless integration with existing spaces, and providing ongoing support to maintain long-term plant health and aesthetic appeal. 

Daisy joined our team in the fall of 2023 after graduating from Niagara College’s Horticulture Technician program in the spring of 2023, where she gained extensive knowledge in plant design and plant care. Passionate about design, she enjoys helping others achieve their vision by combining creativity with expertise in sustainable gardening practices.

With over 10 years of experience in customer service, Daisy has developed strong communication and problem-solving skills, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction. She also spent two years managing a local restaurant, where she strengthened her leadership abilities and gained a deep understanding of operations, team management, and customer relations.

In her free time, Daisy embraces arts and crafts, continually exploring new ways to channel her creativity. At home, she further demonstrates her commitment to eco-friendly living by making compost using vermiculture.

Jenn joined our team in the fall of 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in horticulture and team management. A graduate of Fanshawe College’s Horticulture Technician program, where she was honored with the Lambert Horticulture Society Award, Jenn honed her skills as a Senior Student Gardener, specializing in Interiorscapes.

She further developed her expertise as a Student Gardener at the Niagara School of Horticulture. Over the years, Jenn has taken on key roles, including serving as a Head Grower for two years and a Supervisor for another two. Her extensive background in plant care, plant identification, customer relations, and team management makes her a valuable asset to our team.
